Question:

Will this charger work with 208 volts? Are there terminals for hard wire for outdoor installation?

Answer:

Our 40 Amp Pulsar Plus allows for an outdoor hardwire installation. 

It will also work with a 208 volt circuit.

Question:

The distance from the electric service panel to the charger is around 70ft. So shall I use wire gauge 8 or 6? 3 or 4 conductors?

Answer:

I used #6 off a 50amp dedicated circuit. Ran about 75 feet to 220 outlet. It’s great.

 

Question:

Is the pulsar plus certified by a nationally recognized testing laboratory (or nrtl)? this is required for a rebate through ladwp.

Answer:

The Pulsar Plus is UL certified.

 

Question:

Is it possible to change the charge current while the car is charging?

Answer:

Using the app you may change the current while the car is charging. If the car allows it is something to confirm

 

Question:

I wonder how your electricity bill per month turns out. Is it increase much or stay the same?

Answer:

I can honestly say that I don’t believe it increased too much because I would have noticed it more. We are retired so we are not using the car for distances that often. I can say that we drove to our sons and plugged it into a public charger. Got approximately 100+ miles on the charge and the bill was $4.68. Works for me!
