Does this charger work with the 2017 bmw x5 40e. what is the expected time for a full charge?

The Pulsar Plus is compatible with all EV types, including the 2017 BMW x5 40e. It will take just under an hour for a full charging session.

We have two models that we're offering, the 40A and 48A Pulsar Plus. The 40A Pulsar Plus has a NEMA 14-50 plug. The 48A Pulsar Plus is our hardwire version. You are able to purchase any amount of Pulsar Plus chargers to meet your charging needs.

 

Question:

is this hard to hard wire?

Answer:

Not too bad. It only uses 3 wires, red, black and ground. No neutral wire. I already had a nema 14 50 plug, but the ground wire was on top so I was going to flip the plug over. But by doing so I ended up with the plug too high on the wall. I ended up hard wiring it.

Make sure that the three wires are all the same length so they go into the terminal block easily on the charger. One note, the service wires are very large and a bit fiddly to work with. You can do it.

You can create, delete and manage a scheduled charging session for your Wallbox Pulsar Plus charger through the app at any time
