I want to install EV box to my condo. I’m wondering if there is any protection from unauthorized usage (like enable/unlock in app to start charging)?

Answer:

The Pulsar Plus along with the MyWallbox app or portal allows you to manually lock and unlock, as well as enable auto-lock on your charger.

 

Question:

I'm having trouble to get this to work with my new vw id4. how can i get these to work together?

Answer:

The charger works fine with my 2017 VW e-Golf, which I presume has the same J1772 charging port as the VW ID.4. Do you have the charger configured in "locked" or "scheduled" mode? Out of the box, the charger should start charging as soon as it's plugged into the car.

Is this unit ocpp compliant now ?

Answer:

The 48Amp Pulsar Plus is OCPP compliant. The 40Amp Pulsar Plus can be special ordered through Wallbox to be OCPP compliant.

 

Question:

Is the wallbox power sharing feature compatible with the tesla wall charger power sharing feature?

Answer:

The Wallbox Power Sharing feature is not compatible with Tesla's Wall Charger.

 

 

Question:

How do I monetize it so users have to pay for charging time?

Answer:

While Wallbox does not currently have a billing function built into the app, all chargers are OCPP compatible. OCPP is a standard and open protocol for communication between Charge Points and a Central System where a Charge Point Operator can, among others, monitor the status of the Charge Points, authorize who is allowed to charge or perform remote actions like stopping an ongoing transaction.
